I certainly hope that his latest screenplay makes it through to being made into a film.

I can only imagine how hard it would be to spend so much effort writing something only to have it not take full flight.

Not everyone 'gets' Moulin Rouge, but I think that when people do 'get' MR, they identify with the naked, almost embarrassing intensity of emotion in the film.
