I still suggest they check out this thread. They might as well get it somewhere, some of the score is fabulous, it should be heard. I cant imagine how David must have felt after slaving away...

I feel so sorry for David because the Australia score is brilliant and deserves to be heard. Plus, for a movie of this size and budget, I just find it totally
crazy that Fox chose not to release the soundtrack. I actually think it was disrespectful to David, and indeed the movie, to not release the music
that was such an important part of the film. *shakes fist at Fox*

i was wondering if it is possible to put the score as individual pieces to download, because i have dial up and it will take hour to download, also how was
the soundtrack leaked if they didn't release it properly?

I am very happy to announce some fantastic news!
The Australia soundtrack has now been officially released by Bazmark and is available to download at itunes: http://itunes.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewAlbum?id=319866025&s=143441 A very, very special thanks to Anton Monsted for e-mailing me today through my BTG website to share this excellent news! 
He also provided me with the album coverwork and two videos that Bazmark made for the album using footage from the film. Unfortunately, I am currently away from home for work and in the middle of an outback town with very limited internet access that won't let me open the zip file!  I'm not home until
Tuesday, but hopefully the artwork and videos will pop up elsewhere before then...
I would just like to say - THANK YOU BAZMARK for releasing the Australia soundtrack! I always hoped that they would, as this is certainly a soundtrack that deserves to be heard

Fiiiiinally! Guess I should dig out and remove those earlier links now!
A big thank you to everyone involved for putting the effort into having this released. I know Van and I are constantly fielding queries about the soundtrack and it will be fantastic to have some positive news to tell many eager people! If Im not able to get the vids on australiamovie.net over the weekend, we'll await Vanessa's arrival home on Tuesday!

Don't hold your breath too long curdey.
As of now it is "exclusively" available through iTunes. Also of note follow the link, the album available is different that those floating around, so still worth a purchase to show your support. You never know what may happen if it is popular enough... PS while you're at iTunes be sure to rate the soundtrack 5 stars.

It was hard copy only. And because it was a musical there was obviously a big push on that soundtrack...IT WAS OUT BEFORE THE MOVIE...also they put out TWO soundtracks...as they did for R+J

The songs are available to purchase on iTunes.
They cannot be uploaded to this forum because it would be an illegal download. Previously score etc had been uploaded for moral reasons due to it not being made available for purchase. Now that it is available we hope fans will support the film by purchasing the soundtrack. The more support it gets the more chance of who knows a hard copy or a special edition DVD...

I've bought mine! It's brilliant - I love how some of the songs we got from Hirschfelder have been slightly changed for the soundtrack - also songs
like Rolf Harris's has been changed slightly, as well as 'By The Boab Tree'! my biggest wish is for a physical release - that would be AWESOME...

Glad to hear that everyone is downloading the soundtrack from iTunes. Like Kate said, the more support we show, the more hope we have of there being a CD
release and a special edition DVD!
Ooh, what's this about a digital booklet, Pat? What's in it?
It's absolutely killing me that Anton e-mailed me last week at a time when I am away from my home computer and unable to update my site. I can't even open the attachment with all the goodies he sent me because my work computer access is sooo restricted. But hey, only one day to go until I'm home! I won't be home until late tomorrow night, but I'll be staying up as long as it takes to get this stuff on the web for everyone to see
