Posts: 18090 07/18/09 04:25 Mistress KATE Wild	happy dance ...EXACTLY! It actually had a good script...BUT/AND the actors were also great!! Too many times you see a small budget gay film and you think, good story but not executed correctly, largely due to some stilted acting but the cast in this were great together... As for the soundtrack. It is lufferly...and I can advise you to check your e-mail I'll have to dig out my discs... I've go them scattered all over my room somewhere, so busy this weekend, but yes, Latter Days is awaiting aviewing. Im kinda sucked into and ODing on Six Feet Under now ...I've just watched season 1 in like three days lol. 'obtaining' season 2 as we speak. It stars Matthew Broderick and Fierstein as lovers who deal with a lot of he said he said, one of them tries to have a relationship with a man in an "opposite" marriage, they fall in love, out of love, try to adopt. It's very funny, and profoundly sad at times (gay hate crimes). Fierstein does drag. My favorite Fierstein line is (and he says it straight to the camera, through a mirror): "I think my biggest problem is being young and beautiful. It's my biggest problem because I've never been young and beautiful. Oh, I've been beautiful, and God knows I've been young, but never the twain have met. KATIE! How long have I BEEN TELLING YOU TO WATCH SIX FEET UNDER?!?!?!? It is my favorite TV show of all time. I adore it. We first got HBO the week before it started. I saw a commercial and thought hmm... funeral home drama sounds interesting. Loved the first episode, and totally orgasmed at the wonderfullness with Claire's foot episode. ;-) I have all the seasons, even though parts of 4 are lame-ish. As lame as the greatest series ever can be, but still good. The final episode of season 5 made me cry the most that I have ever cried at anything- movie, book, tv show-- ever. Keep me posted what you thinking of it! Watched Holding Trevor last night. It was okay. Posts: 18138 09/15/09 03:16 Mistress KATE Wild	lol, somewhat true, though right now Im actually pleasantly distracted by True Blood, but I just finished all the eps pout Okay, so SFU... man, five seasons in a relatively short period of time, I could not get enough. From the very beginning I actually really liked Nate and Brenda, they were great together, but so many times they made me hate his character, particularly at the end where unfortunately I was really happy the fucker died, because I didnt 'get him' any more. Well, okay, i get that he was dysfunctional and such, but blah. Kinda didnt like how Brenda became a little Miss housewifey, largely in part to the way they dressed Rachel, but I understand this was to cover up/incorporate her RL pregnancy, so some things were overlooked by me on this front. David and Keith were aaaaaaaaaaah, PERFECT from day one!! It was weird you know, as soon as I met the characters as a couple it was just like, you know what, these guys FIT! I was on the edge of my seat many times when they were apart, almost apart, and somewhat happy to see that their indiscrections were accepted as part of the relationship and how they dealt with that...I really enjoyed watching their storyline play out. The Chenoweths were so much Dysfunctional fun, what great roles to play, and how they endear themselves to you even though they're completely off course. The whole Lisa storyline was somewhat offputting and weird and had several abrrupt turns, but in the end they made it work. Anyway, so I loved the Sia song Breathe Me as she's a local Adelaide girl and they used it in my fave german show Verbotene Liebe, but what an intersting use of it in the last episode, and oh how I BAWLED! ...me, I didnt even cry at Moulin Rouge, I dont cry at many things, but well I watched it when I was in a bit of a down mood and definitely one of the most amazing end sequences to a series! KATE Well, True Blood is Alan Ball, aka TV god. I CANNOT GET ENOUGH OF True Blood. And, I was so with you, when that episode aired when Nate was with the sappy little ferret (Maggie) and he collapses, I was all "GOOD!" The only thing I ever actually didn't like was the way they ended the whole what happened to Lisa debacle, actually. And I even adored Brenda when they did make her into housewifey- if only because her life erriely often resembled my own, and I was becoming domesticated at the same time she was... if that makes sense. I always consider myself a weird mix of David-Brenda-Claire. How I love all those characters so. All of them. Ruth, Billy, Ma Chen.... And Kate cried! OMG! ;-) I BAWLED. And what a shame that I got to visit the set BEFORE I had an effing clue of what it was!! I would have appreciated it so much more. I think the finalisation of the Lisa thing was a bit wierd, some of the directional changes in that show were a bit jerky...I mean that in terms of sudden movement. Stop here, start there, 90 degree turn. Most of it you could let slide because you'd brush it off as quirk factor, but yeah, the whole affair thing was so random given that she was supposed to be smitten with Nate and blah blah. I IMMEDIATELY thought upon viewing, "This is a Kate doll movie." �I really, really enjoyed the hell out of it. It wasn't absolute love at first sight for the whole movie, but thinking about it I do love it and the title song just kicks so much ass I can't stop listening to it. �It's about a young gay at an all boys school that is putting on a musical production of mid-summer night's dream. He's cast as Puck, makes a potion, and may or may not turn everyone into a flamming homosexual, quite literally. The concept of the love spray makes it a little less enticing as it therefore is manufactured love, but mmm, I must watch. So how old is the trailer is it on DVD now or theatres? EDIT: found a download link! And lol, I meant which one is Alan Ball, I didnt actually consider the relation XD As for the set, dont worry there were no actors or anything there. When I was in America I have a friend whos cousin works for Warner Bros so we got a free tour thingymabob. He is a god and deserves to be worshipped as such. Also, much jealousy over visiting the True Blood set. Jess, I would have given my right one to go see it. Definitely not my left one. Cause that'd just be weird... Also, Katie, I have never seen Hedwig, but don't let critics sway you or hype you up for something.. it's just a very enjoyable film. Thankfully having been in A mid summer nights dream I know all about the plot and characters, I suppose not knowing this would make the film confusing to some. And thought it did rely a little to heavily on another text. But it was okay overall.
