It sounds like he's still in the mix but not guaranteed. It's assumed AUSTRALIA will be coming out, according to Fox, "holiday 2008" which will be around this time next year - there's a post about the movies Fox has coming out in 2008 under the "general" thread and the info is there. I'm sure that's the date for the US since that's what it means when they post release dates so we will just have to wait until an actual release date is announced to see what the dates are for the other countries. Hopefully they will all be close together, and I wouldn't be surprised if it's released in Australia first.

My favorite movies ever are Pride and Prejudice and Atonement (love Joe Wright, Keira Knightley, and James McAvoy) I just found out about this movie a few weeks ago, but I am really excited about it. I just got through reading 23 pages of the plot spoilers thread lol. I don't know if I can wait 11 months to see the movie! Nicole Kidman and Hugh Jackman look great together! When people mention "romance", I tend to think of lame rom-coms and forget that a lot of good dramas have a strong romantic element, I'm hoping we're all wrong with our speculation about the plot of this film. As for a trailer... probably not until the later half of this year. We're not exactly sure when the movie promotion will begin, but probably not for a while yet. They still need to launch an official Australia site, and preferably release more official images! Then a trailer will hopefully follow soon after... We're used to waiting on this board - it took a couple of years before filming began, and then it was a 9 month shoot! But we're now on the final stretch with the movie set to be released in December. The wait is long, but it's definitely going to be worth it! LOL! Baz the Great! & Australiamovie.net

Some have been waiting longer than others - since I'm a Hugh fan, I got on the bandwagon after he signed on in June 2006 (was it that long ago already????). I lost most of that interest about three weeks later with the casting of Crowe but once stories of trouble and delays began to appear on 31st March 2006, I stated following it again. It can be frustrating, but it's also a lot of fun trying to find any new information and pictures. ...without Baz and his crazy vision, I don't think it'd be happening.
