First of many to come...nothing spectacular, just something simple to start with.

I'll eventually get a wallpaper etc section on australiamovie.net

1280x800 // 1024x786 // 800x600

What a GREAT idea for a thread! And I love the first contribution - I cannot get over the color of the water - you have to remember I'm used to the Hudson River LOL.

The colour of the water is beautiful. I love the art-work. Pat, you will have to describe the Hudson River for those who haven't been there. I haven't been there in a long time and don't remember shite either. I take it that it must be rather grey and drab then? Beaches here are rather greenish tho which seems a bit odd as well. Ah well, waves were going quite well today and now am cooked to perfection (forgot to re-apply the sun-screen when I came out of the ocean - doh!).

Thanks, Im glad you like it. I had done some layering and adjusted the colouring on that image, but it was pretty damn blue to begin with lol.

I initially intended to do a wallpaper of "the kiss" but I'll wait till Im a lil more artistically influenced

Great idea, Kate! And what a great pic for a wallpaper! I still can't get over how stunning that water in Darwin Harbour looks, I love it! :wub

I'm in the middle of making the wharf kiss type one, but it's not coming out quite as I want...frustrating.

Does anyone even use 800x600 resoloution anymore btw? Oh well tis easy to make that size as it is a to scale resize of the 1024x768 wallpaper. tis the widescreen ones that are a pain. I have to sort of make those seperately, but as a replicat of the others.

lol anyway, you don't need to hear the boring technical side... I'll bring teh pretty later whenever I finish it.

Hmm, I would probably make it 800x600 as well as 1024x768. I think some people might still be stuck with old computers, and I'm sure they'd appreciate the wallpapers. Might as well make them available to everyone!

Can't wait to see the wharf kiss one. That is definitely the most atmospheric picture I've seen so far! Love it! :wub

lol, yes it is tape! XD I was going for the old letters and what not being thrown together kind of look

As I mentioned before, didn't come out quite how I wanted, but I got it to a stage where I was happy enough.

As for not being able to see the pic, well that's kind of my point. That way they'd have to consciously decide if they want to see the bigger image and be spoiled...not accidentally view it and get angry at me :shrug

Guess I might leave it off.

Aww, that's a lovely image, Kate!

I wouldn't put the Spoiler image across it. It's a production image of the three lead actors on a jetty, and in the other image, Nic and Hugh are kissing. Surely people can't get much of the plot from this, and so it wouldn't really be considered a spoiler? People will know it's a romantic love story between Nic and Hugh, so of course they will be kissing?

Ya know, I absolutely LOVE the one of him sideway in Darwin on the boat where it's a NICE shot of his bum! (I'm hopeless, I know.) Or the one - also in Darwin - with him walking. Or....whatever!! It's Hugh and I'm hopeless when it comes to him.
