well, could be the book. since you don't know anything about another....
That's sooo sad. I would REALLY look forward to that DVD since, let's face it, the DVD we have is nothing special (exept for the film of course xD). But I won't loose hope

And I've been thinking about the "special" DVD that was mentioned by Baz for this Christmas - doesn't look like we're getting one (which truthfully doesn't surprise me). Alas, I think you are right. After the movie's US reception, and after Fox totally rushed the original DVD release, I highly doubted that Fox would fund a special edition DVD. Of course I wanted them to prove me wrong and I SO wanted it to happen, as there is so much left unsaid. All I can say is - "It's not faaaaair!" This will be the first Baz DVD that doesn't have decent behind-the-scenes special features, and it totally sucks

It's annoying as we know there was so much behind-the-scenes coverage.
In an interview for his "Dancing with the Stars" appearance, Baz mentioned working on a couple of Blu-Ray releases and "Australia" wasn't one of them.
...without Baz and his crazy vision, I don't think it'd be happening.

What's this - Baz mentioned working on a couple of Blu-Ray releases? Did he specifically say Australia isn't one of them? If so, he must be working on
MR and R+J... unless one of these is already available, and it's SB instead. I wonder if there will be any new features on these older films? We shall have
to keep a look out!

MRs 10th Anniversary is coming up ish, so it could well be to do with that. he did mention that they had footage etc left and alluded to a dvd when we
interviewed him years back

Australia is the big film on Sky Movies Premiere on Christmas Day evening, which means it shows up in all the Sky Christmas promotions. I'm getting quite used to Drover in white dinner jacket smiling at me! It does make me want to watch the film again. I've been looking at BluRay players and noticed that in the UK, Panasconic are offering 7 free movies with each purchase of a player. I'd been thinking of a Sony, but this has me tempted. The seven includes Australia, the X-Men trilogy and Wolverine. Not a bad offer for a Jackman fan.
...without Baz and his crazy vision, I don't think it'd be happening.

Wow, I wish I was still living in the UK - I would totally get that Panasonic BluRay deal!
And thanks for the interview link! I am always looking for tidbits that give us a clue about what Baz is planning to do next. So, obviously, the following two questions and answers were very interesting for me!
Are you still working on a remake of The Great Gatsby? I'd love to know what those 'whole lot of other books' are! What are you working on now? I wish we knew when they were due to come out. These are my two favourite Baz films and I can't wait to see what extra goodies we're going to get!
