Argh - I was just browsing my local newspaper online site and found this sprawled across the home page:

Of course, I immediately raced over here to say - it's not truuuue! But I'm pleased to see that everyone loved Hugh's performance, so no need, lol

Loved the opening number - I was cracking up laughing the whole way through, and I loved that Hugh kept cracking up laughing too! I also thought it was sooo cute when he had to run from one 'face' to another when he was singing about BB - lmfao!

And I loved 'Baz's' number! So MR-esque. So Baz. And so fitting, as it was Baz who re-introduced the musical to mainstream cinema with MR! However, my one annoyance was that the couple from High School Musical were involved (those movies irk me). I actually didn't mind Mamma Mia, and I thought Amanda was great, so that was cool. And I'm a Beyonce fan, so I loved her with Hugh - and I loved their chemistry!

I hate to say it, but I kinda knew that CM wouldn't win Best Costume Design. My biggest annoyance with the Oscars this year was its (almost) total snub of Australia. To me, CM's nomination was like a token nomination. It was included so that Australia could be mentioned briefly because Baz and Hugh were such an integral part of the show. Of course, I loved that Hugh mentioned Australia within the first 30 seconds of his opening, and it really would have been strange if his film wasn't featured in any category. So I reckon they threw in a token nomination, without ever having the intention of giving Australia the recognition it deserved.

You know, the category that really irked me this year was Best Song! Two songs from Slumdog and one from Wall-E. Where the heck was Boab Tree?! I mean really, could they not have given Australia a token nomination there too? I know it was Slumdog's night but there was room for more noms - it was so strange to have only 3 songs, and 2 from the same film... But I guess this grumble of mine still stems from the non-existent soundtrack

Aww, Baz is so supportive, I love it

The pictures of Baz behind the scenes supporting Hugh were so cute. And while collaborating on the choreography for that fabulous number, perhaps Baz helped Hugh get (what might have been) his wish of pairing up with Beyonce! And then here Baz talks openly about how wonderful Hugh is... I love how Baz supports his leading actors. It's like a movie family - the actors are grateful to Baz for giving them such fantastic opportunities, and Baz is grateful to the actors for helping him to achieve his great vision

Oh my gosh, how hyper were those interviewers? I loved it when Baz said he thought he and CM had been married for 12 years, he didn't think of stuff like that, he's just always been with CM - awww

And I loved Baz singing 'Come What May'!

But, what's this about a big junket? Did he mean for the Australian DVD release, or the US DVD release on 3 March? I need to know when and where, lol!!
