Well there's a couple of ways:
I'll tell you where the first one is, and you'll hopefully get the idea. Go to the stars section on the special features and select John Leguizamo (but don't press enter so it goes to the interview), then press your up button and you'll see a red windmill (or a green fairy) and click on it. And there you have a hidden feature! If you want to know where they all are, I can tell you, but it's more fun if you look for them yourself ;-) The other way is to press the display button on your remote and select title, then use your up and down buttons to flick from each title to the next, the hidden features are up around the 50's (I'm sure you'll know what I mean when you're doing it...well, hopefully!). Well, I hope that was a help and not too confusing! If anyone else can explain it better, feel free! Meg P.S. has everyone found the one where ewan & nicole sing your song? so funny!! |

People were talking about on the yahoo MR2001 board that if you find one easter egg and play it, while you're playing click the "repeat" button on your dvd remote, and supposedly it will play every easter egg in sucessive order.

This is a "spectacular" dvd!!! I can't get over how much wonderful extra stuff is on it!!!
I did find all the 15 hidden easter eggs. My favorite easter eggs are: * when Nicole starts cracking up when Ewan is singing Your Song, then both of them start doing this funky dance, it's hysterical * Ewan's microphone get's "lost" during the elephant love medley scene * Baz throwing Ewan a going away party after filming, with bagpipes This isn't an easter egg, but I loved the Come What May music video on disc #2 on the dvd! Love the out-takes shown!!! Plus, I also enjoy that other version of CWM. Speaking of other versions of CWM, has anyone here gotten the Aussie cd single of Come What May? It has 4 different versions on it, plus an instrumental version of The Elephant Love Medley. I just won one on Ebay this week, so I haven't gotten it yet, but I can't wait Carol |

Well, I guess it depends upon which brand of dvd player you have. I have a Sony one, and it doesn't have any numbers on the remote, so I have to access the easter eggs with the numbers in them thru the search button on the remote.

Does anyone have a list of where the Green Fairy appears throughout the movie in the "Behind the red curtain" section???
I think I have seen them all (BTW my fav is the one at the Elephant Love Medley, great behind the scenes footage But am unsure. Is there a list on the net somewhere or does someone know? I thought I might sit and watch the movie and mark down the places where there are green fairys in that sequence, because when I looked for them before I cheated and did it on fast forward, cause I'd just done a marathon of watching the movie, watching every single feature, and then to watch the whole thing again, it was like 2 in the morning and i was exhausted!
But maybe I'll try again this next weekend when i'm off work!!!!!! |

Here's a list of Ewan pics on the dvd:
Disk 2, Main Menu, More, Costume Design, The Bohemians (Christian's wardrobe, stills 25 to 34) * Disk 2, Main Menu, More, Marketing, Photo Gallery, Ellen Von Unwerth (Christian, still 25,28,31,32, reel 2 (B&W) still 15,19,26,27) * Disk 2, Main Menu, More, Marketing, Photo Gallery, Mary Ellen Mark (Christian, still 17) * Disk 2, Main Menu, More, Marketing, Photo Gallery, Douglas Kirland (Christian, still 18, 30) * Disk 2, Main Menu, More, Marketing, Photo Gallery, Sue Adler (Christian, reel 2 still 6-28, (22 is funny) reel 3 still 2, 32) * Disk 2, Main Menu, More, Marketing, Photo Gallery, Merric Morlon (Christian, still 5-10, 12) As for the Behind The Red Curtain Green Fairy features, I'm not sure if this is all of them, but they are at the beginning of chapters 1,2,3,14,19 and 33, and two fairies in chapter 4. And I agree, the ELM Behind the Red Curtain feature is the best! Lots of behind the scenes footage. Also love the Your Song Easter Egg of Nicole cracking up while Ewan is singing to her, and then both of them acting crazy This isn't an Easter Egg, but I love the short movie of Ewan/Nicole at the beginning of The Stars section. The music and film of them dancing together is wonderful Also, on disc 2, , go to design, there is an interview with Catherine Martin that you should check out. They show some early, unused footage of Ewan/Nicole, particularly this one shot of of Ewan and Nicole on a couch, and Ewan stroking Nic's face Also, regarding the two trailers, I thought the Japenese trailer was the better one, especially since it feautured the song CWM |

Even though I have watched all the hidden bits on the DVD by typing in the title number, there are still those where I have no idea where they are on the menu
Though I luv the Your Song outtake - I keep watching it again and again |

Re: Behind the Red Curtain | #19 | ||

Well I finally got the dvd, took forever to come in the mail, and am confused. I tried for like an hour getting some of those outakes where you press like up or something on the second one, kept trying the first John Leguizamo one on the list but i think my remote's just weird. Like the first people on the character menu are Nicole and Ewan, and to play them on my remote instead of one and two you have to press 6 & 7 and then 8 to get over to John. But when I press up on both up's, the numbered arrow ones and the tops & bottoms to the fast forward ones, but nothing happened. Then after I had given up and was just watching some of the things, i was on the menu and messing around and got a disturbing little clip of Ziddler dancing (I'm guessing that was an outake). Oh, and one other kind of observation.... a while back there was the Count Von Groovy post.... I thought people were joking when the talked about that soryline from like a first draft or something.... where the Count seduces Satine & Christian..... found out that writer guy was serious..... oh dear.

I think the Count Von Groovy idea is one of the funniest things I have ever heard. I can't not laugh when I hear them talking about how all the characters are in his tower and high on drugs or whatever...I think they should make that movie just to see people's reactions
